Help Single Mom Refugee
Maria Taqdees is a single mother of two who recently came to the US as a refugee. For the past fifteen years, Maria has worked with vulnerable women in Pakistan to provide them legal, mental health and financial assistance. She also provided business training to help these women support their families.
After being attacked by extremist groups because of her work, Maria made the decision to flee Pakistan with her children and seek asylum here. In doing so, she had to leave everything behind, including her career, her house, and virtually all her possessions. Maria is going through the process of applying for a work visa, but that is estimated to take several months. Without the visa, she is unable to legally work.
Until her work visa is approved, Maria and her children need financial assistance for their rent, utilities,and groceries. Please consider helping Maria by donating if you can. Thank you!
